Calvary Christian Academy is a homeschool hybrid program that exists as a ministry to the body of believers who regularly fellowship in person at Calvary Chapel West Houston and call Calvary Chapel West Houston their home church. This ministry is a partnership with families—coming alongside parents as they homeschool their children; supporting both their educational growth and their walk with the Lord.

Students gather on campus two days a week for learning, encouragement, and community. On those campus days, classes are taught by caring volunteer servants from our church family. These days give students the opportunity to learn with others, participate in discussions, activities, and projects, and enjoy a classroom-style environment with their peers.

Throughout the week, families continue the learning at home, where parents guide their children through the lessons for the subjects offered on campus. The hybrid program provides weekly lesson plans or a class syllabus to help families stay on track and connect what happens on campus with learning at home. This rhythm allows students to benefit from both the community of the classroom and the personal guidance that happens in the home.

Families purchase the curriculum and books used for the subjects offered on campus, supplies, and uniforms. While students engage in instruction and collaborative learning on campus days, the learning continues to grow and take root during the week at home as families reinforce and build upon what was introduced in class.

In the coming months, subject offerings will be finalized for the 2026-2027 school year based on teacher availability. If a subject is not offered through the hybrid program, families simply incorporate that subject independently at home as part of their homeschool learning.

Special Note for High School - Subject offerings through the hybrid program are determined each year based on teacher availability, areas of gifting and experience within our church body, and the needs of participating families. Because CCA functions as a ministry-supported homeschool hybrid, course availability may vary year to year. Families remain fully responsible for their student's overall high school education, including any additional subjects, graduation planning, record keeping, and transcript requirements that are completed at home outside of the hybrid program. If a particular high school subject is not offered through CCA, families incorporate that course independently as part of their homeschool journey.
